About Us

SSPC India - was founded in July 2004, as a non-profit professional society concerned with the use of coatings to protect industrial steel structures. SSPC India: The Society for Surface Protective Coatings serves its members and advances the industry through standards, regulatory advocacy, education and information exchange. It has the large membership of companies such as facility owners, paint manufacturers, painting contractors, architectural, engineering and construction firms, educators, industrial hygienists, environmental specialists, fabricators, consultants and inspectors, coatings testing labs, equipment suppliers, and raw material suppliers.

This is an association of professionals engaged in educational institutes, industrial houses and any other bodies interested in thea of protecive coatings, corrosion science. The Society for Surface Protective Coating - India was founded in July 2004 and is registered under societies registration act of 1850 to the Registrar of Charitable trust. Society is formed to exercise control and manage the activities connected with the field of protective coatings.

Most of the reputed paint companies such as Kansai Nerolac Paints , Carboline India Pvt Ltd , Tyco Adhesives India Pvt.Ltd , Ashish Coatings Technologies , Graco Inc have stressed the need for this forum to discuss the important aspects of High Performance Coatings for corrosion protection. Present requirements and future planning on the advanced systems needs to be addressed in details to make this subject popular among industry, esp ecially, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Offshore Structures, Navy and Shipping.

Our Objectives

  • To create a forum where all paint related personnel’s can discuss, share their thoughts and work for a common goal for the enhancement of knowledge in paint coatings.
  • Organize technical meetings by eminent personnel’s from educational institutions and industry on specific topics on paint coatings and surface preparation.
  • Organize educational courses and training programmes.
  • Organize at least one major activity as National / International conference to focus new research, inventions in paint coatings and surface preparation.
  • Possibly work together to make new or modify existing standards suitable for our environment.

  • 2 day Intensive Course on Alternative Materials for Automotive Industry, 7-8 th July at V E Commercial Vehicle Ltd., Indore
